The Dukes County Regional Housing Authority (DCRHA) is publically chartered to assist the towns of Martha’s Vineyard with developing and managing housing opportunities for residents with low and moderate income. The DCRHA provides affordable rentals, rental assistance and service referral; supports affordable home buying as a lottery agent and affordability monitor; participates in advocacy and planning at the town and regional levels; and actively partners and collaborates with town, regional and organizational housing efforts.
Rental Housing
The Housing Authority manages year-round rentals, administers local rental assistance and partners with other organizations that offer assistance with rent, utility and apartment rehabilitation costs.
Home Ownership
The Housing Authority assists with lottery of affordable homes and homesites, provides Homebuyer Education, serves as an affordability monitor and maintains an affordable Homebuyer Clearinghouse.
Assistance and Planning
The Housing Authority provides support to town housing initiatives and participates in regional advocacy and planning efforts.
