The Featherstone Center for the Arts Memory Support Group is a weekly group serving those recently diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease and wishing to find a supportive environment to talk about it and get support and advice for their problems.
This group is co-lead by Nancy Langman, a doctoral level psychiatric nurse practitioner and Victoria Haeselbarth, an outreach worker from Edgartown Council on Aging both with expertise in Alzheimer’s disease.
The group meets weekly on Wednesdays:
9:30am to 11:00am and 11:00am to 12:30pm
Our original group have many caregivers that also attend with their loved one. Our second group is for people with memory loss who do not necessarily have a diagnosis of Alzheimer’s or other dementia but are aware of struggling with memory. All are welcome to attend. Please call in advance to register to attend.
