The mission of the Island Disability Coalition (IDC) is to bring together community members dedicated to promoting the full and equal participation of individuals with disabilities in all aspects of life. The Coalition will work to advocate and ensure that opportunities for self-determination, independence, empowerment, and inclusion exist in the areas including but not limited to education, housing, employment, transportation, civic engagement, socialization, and health care.

Who should get involved?
Coalition members are parents, educators, advocates, self-advocates, service providers, and employers interested in working towards a more inclusive future for our community. We welcome any community member and organization to join in the conversation. Community inclusion works when we all work together.
