Martha’s Vineyard Center for Living is a non-profit organization, working in collaboration with the local municipal Councils on Aging, Dukes County, and other service organiztions to provide programs and services for 55+ Islanders that promote dignity, self-worth, self sufficiency and a live lived to its fullest potential.

Programs:

Supportive Day Program
Exercise, arts, music, yoga, drama, discussions, current events, games, special presentations by local artists, companionship and a snack and family-style lunch make up the daily calendar of our Supportive Day Program.

Medical Taxi Program
Have an appointment off island and need a ride? If you’re over 55 allow us to help you get there! The Medical Taxi Program works with three local services, Falmouth Taxi, All Seasons Taxi, and Real Transportation. We help coordinate transportation to Falmouth, North Falmouth, Mashpee, Sandwich, and Hyannis.

Emergency Food Program
As a member of the Greater Boston Food Bank, MV Center for Living coordinates the delivery of nutritious food to local Councils on Aging and the Vineyard Committee on Hunger at the First Baptist Church in Vineyard Haven, for distribution to Islanders in need.

Music and Memory Café
The Music and Memory Café welcomes anyone from the community who struggles with memory issues or has a disability. Join us for socialization, music, snacks, and information about resources in the community. There is no charge for the Café, you are welcome to attend when you can and come and go as you please.

Dementia Family Support Services
Support group and services for families and caregivers of individuals with dementia.

MVRHS Luncheon
A delightful dining experience provided by the MV Regional High School Culinary Arts department. Great food and live music once a month during the school year.

55Plus Times Newsletter
The 55Plus is a monthly newsletter put together by the Martha’s Vineyard Center for Living with contributions from each of the local Councils on Aging. You can use the times to find all the local events, activities, and services for those 55 and over.
