The Massachusetts State Police Division of Field Services Mission is to provide Uniformed Policing and Patrol Services throughout the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in order to:
- Facilitate Motor Vehicle Crash and Fatality Reduction utilizing Proactive Enforcement and Education to ensure the Safe, Efficient, and Expeditious Flow of Traffic.
- Provide Primary Policing and Law Enforcement Services to the Department of Conservation and Recreation Beaches and Parks, Massachusetts Port Authority Airports and Properties, MASSDOT, and to Massachusetts Water Resources Authority Facilities.
- Provide Special and Tactical Resources within the Commonwealth and to respond to large scale Public Safety Emergencies, Events, and Incidents.
- Provide policing support and assistance to Municipal Police Departments.
