Oak Bluffs Public Library is an informational and cultural hub for our local, island and visitor community. We circulate thousands of items in print, provide access to online free materials, and host educational and entertaining programs year-round.

Emergency Food: Bags of non-perishable food are available for anyone in need – no requirements. The bags are located in a box under a display table on the main floor near the parking lot entrance.

Food is available during normal library hours:

  • Tuesday: 10am to 8pm
  • Wednesday: 10am to 5pm
  • Thursday: 10am to 8pm
  • Friday: 10am to 5pm
  • Saturday: 10am to 4pm

Warming Shelter: Oak Bluffs Library serves as a Warming Shelter during the winter months, operating during their normal library hours.

OB Library Story Times:

  • ABC Storytime – Every Wednesday at10:30am, ages 3 and up. We sing songs, read some great books, and make a craft.
  • Book Babies – Every Thursday is at 11am, for pre-walkers. Lapsit songs, stories, and an opportunity for baby to socialize and play.
  • Toddler Time – Every Friday is at10:30am, for walkers. An energetic song-filled storytime made for toddlers who can’t sit still!
