The seasonal economy on Martha’s Vineyard provides over 10,500 jobs to Islanders and summer residents and drops to about 6,000 in the winter months. While the Island’s economy relies heavily on tourism, there are a number of seasonal and year-round employment opportunities for all ages.
There’s also plenty of opportunity to volunteer your time and talents across the Island. And while Island organizations benefit greatly from volunteers, studies show that volunteering helps us feel more socially connected and has a positive impact on our mental health. From children to elders, volunteer opportunities connect individuals with our community.
